Senior Software Engineer, Transactions

Turquoise Health is a Series C price transparency platform powering published rates and estimates for more than 300 enterprise healthcare organisations, and the Transactions team works on the part where money actually changes hands.

The role is senior and product-minded rather than narrowly backend: end-to-end delivery from problem definition and technical design through implementation and deployment, across APIs, data models, pipelines, integrations and UI as the work requires. It is a small team, so the posting asks for shared ownership, driving technical discussions and surfacing risk early rather than waiting to be assigned. Asks are 5+ years of Python, a modern Python stack in production, proficiency with Vue or React, and a strong command of SQL including designing and optimising schemas and queries for non-trivial data problems. The stated preference is for someone who cares why a thing is being built and whether it moved anything.

Two limits the posting is clear about. It is US-only, because Turquoise operates on US business hours with clients entirely based in the US, and it requires existing authorisation to work there: no visa sponsorship, and no assumption of an existing visa.
