Help & FAQ

Questions, answered.

Everything you might want to know about finding remote work, and posting it, on Forcepull.

The basics

5 questions

  1. What kind of jobs are on Forcepull?

Forcepull is a remote-only job board for tech. Engineering, design, product, infrastructure, data, security, and adjacent roles. Every listing is fully remote with a published salary. We don't accept hybrid, "remote-friendly", or on-site roles. Region-constrained remote (for example, EU-only or US time zones) is fine. An occasional in-person team gathering is fine.

  2. Why remote only?

Two rules are the whole promise of the board: every listing fully remote, every listing with a published salary. Mixing in office or hybrid roles would dilute that promise. People who want remote work shouldn't have to filter out office listings, and on-site roles get more traction on boards built for them. We picked a side and stuck with it.

  3. Why not hybrid?

Hybrid is location-coupled. If a role requires anyone to be in an office on any regular basis (one day a week or a few days a month), it becomes a local job for that city. A candidate two countries away can't take it without relocating, so it isn't really remote. Annual or twice-a-year team gatherings are fine; recurring required in-office time is not.

  4. What about office-required roles?

Nothing against them. Plenty of great companies have offices and prefer that setup. But office-required hiring is well served by other boards, and Forcepull is the place for people who want fully remote work. We're pro-remote, not anti-office.

  5. Do you accept non-tech roles?

No. We're focused on tech. That keeps the board useful for the people browsing it. If you're hiring for a non-tech role, there are better places for your listing.

Billing

6 questions

  1. How much does it cost to post a job?

Job listings are a one-time fee with no subscriptions, no recurring fees, and no hidden charges. Your listing stays live until you close it. See the pricing page for current pricing and any active offers.

  2. What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit and debit cards through Stripe.

  3. Do you offer refunds?

Yes. If you're not satisfied with your listing, contact us within 7 days of posting and we'll make it right.

  4. What if I accidentally post a job that is not remote?

We will refund you, no problem. Shit happens. Email us and we will take it down.

  5. Are there any additional fees?

No. Your listing is included in the price. Logo display, tags, unlimited edits, and closing the role when you're done are all included.

  6. Do you offer premium placement or sponsored job postings?

No. Every job listing gets the same treatment. No paying extra to jump the queue, no "featured" spots for companies with deeper pockets.

Getting started

5 questions

  1. How do I post a job?

Create an account (just your email, no password needed), add your company, write your job listing, and hit publish. The whole process takes about 5 minutes.

  2. How do tags work?

Tag your job with the relevant skills (Ruby, Python, Rails, Design, ...). Tags help candidates understand the role quickly and make your listing easier to scan.

  3. How long do listings stay active?

As long as you need. There's no expiration date. When you've found the right candidate, close the listing from your account dashboard and it'll be removed from the open listings. The page itself stays up, clearly marked as closed, so links to it keep working.

  4. Can I edit my job listing after posting?

Yes. You can edit your listing at any time while it's active. Update the description, requirements, salary, or any other details whenever you need.

  5. What if I close a job by accident?

You can reopen a closed listing yourself from your account dashboard. It keeps its original publish date, so reopening does not move it up the queue.

For employers

3 questions

  1. How do candidates apply?

Candidates apply directly via the application URL on the listing, or by emailing the address you choose to list instead. Either way, we don't act as a middleman or collect applicant data.

  2. Can I post multiple jobs?

Absolutely. Post as many as you need. There's no limit and no volume-discount trickery.

  3. Do you sell my data or track my job listing performance?

No. We don't sell your data, we don't track how many people view your listing or click your application link, and we won't email you marketing for "premium" features. No analytics dashboards, no click tracking, no surveillance.

For job seekers

5 questions

  1. Is it free to browse and apply to jobs?

Yes, completely free. You don't need to create an account, upload a CV, or provide any personal information to view listings or apply.

  2. Do you sell my data or email address?

No. We don't collect job seeker data at all. When you apply to a job, you're applying directly to the employer.

  3. Do you track me with analytics or cookies?

No. We don't use Google Analytics, tracking pixels, or any third-party analytics. No retargeting ads, no creepy surveillance.

  4. Do I have to upload my CV?

No. We don't want your CV or your personal details. Click through to the employer's application and apply directly.

  5. Can I get email alerts for new jobs?

Yes. Subscribe to the jobs digest from the box at the bottom of the jobs page. Double opt-in, and unsubscribing deletes your address entirely.
