Terms of Service
The rules and guidelines that govern your use of Forcepull.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using Forcepull ("the Site"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Site.
2. Description of Service
Forcepull is a curated job board for remote tech roles. We choose and publish every listing ourselves; employers cannot post or pay to appear. Job seekers browse and apply directly to the employer. The Site is currently self-funded.
3. User Accounts
3.1 Account Creation
- Accounts are not open: Forcepull does not create them, and nothing on the Site requires one
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account
- You may not impersonate others or provide false information
3.2 Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time by contacting us; we action deletion requests within 30 days. We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.
4. Job Postings
4.1 Posting Requirements
Job postings must:
- Be for legitimate job opportunities
- Be related to software development or programming
- Include accurate salary information (at least minimum or maximum salary)
- Not contain discriminatory language or requirements
- Not include misleading or false information
- Not link to malicious websites or content
4.2 Prohibited Content
Job postings may not contain:
- Discriminatory language based on race, gender, age, religion, disability, sexual orientation, or other protected characteristics
- Pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing, or commission-only positions
- Adult content or services
- Illegal activities or services
- Spam, scams, or fraudulent offers
4.3 Cost
- A listing cannot be bought. There is no listing fee, no subscription, no commission on who you hire, and no price at which placement is for sale
- Listings remain active until we close them, normally when the role is filled
- We take no payment details from an employer at all
4.4 Content Rights
You retain ownership of the content you post. By posting a job listing, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and promote your content on the Site and related marketing materials.
4.5 Editing and Removal
- We close a listing when we learn the role is filled. The page stays up, marked closed, so old links keep working
- If an employer asks us to take down a listing about their own role, we will
- We also take a listing down when it is false, withdrawn, or otherwise unfit for the board
- We reserve the right to edit listings for formatting, clarity, or to remove prohibited content
5. User Conduct
You agree not to:
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site or other users' accounts
- Scrape, spider, or use automated tools to access the Site without permission
- Upload viruses, malware, or malicious code
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Post false, misleading, or fraudulent job listings
- Circumvent any security features of the Site
6. Intellectual Property
The Site, including its design, logo, text, graphics, and functionality, is owned by Forcepull and protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse engineer any part of the Site without our written permission.
7. Third-Party Services
The Site integrates with third-party services (Postmark for emails, Cloudflare for hosting and storage, etc.). Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service and privacy policies.
8. Disclaimers
8.1 No Warranty
THE SITE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT.
8.2 No Employment Guarantee
We do not guarantee that job seekers will find employment or that employers will find candidates. We are a platform provider, not an employment agency or recruiter.
8.3 User Content
We are not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or quality of user-generated content, including job postings. We do not verify the legitimacy of employers or job offers.
9. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FORCEPULL SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS OR REVENUES, WHETHER INCURRED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM:
- Your use or inability to use the Site
- Any unauthorized access to or use of our servers and/or any personal information stored therein
- Any bugs, viruses, or other harmful code transmitted through the Site
- Any errors or omissions in content or for any loss or damage incurred as a result of the use of any content posted, emailed, transmitted, or otherwise made available through the Site
IN NO EVENT SHALL OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE SIX MONTHS PRIOR TO THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO LIABILITY, OR $50 USD, WHICHEVER IS GREATER.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Forcepull and its affiliates from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of or in any way connected with your access to or use of the Site, your violation of these Terms, or your infringement of any intellectual property or other rights of any third party.
11. Refunds
There is nothing to refund on a job listing, because there is nothing to pay for one. If a listing about your role does not meet our remote-only rules, or should not be here at all, contact us and we will take it down.
12. Modifications to Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to the Site with an updated "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the modified Terms.
13. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
14. Dispute Resolution
Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Site shall be resolved through good faith negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached, disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
15. Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
