Scope
We agree the role, the salary, and written terms before any work starts. If we think the role is too niche or the pay too far below market to source honestly, we say so before taking your money.
Concierge Service
Skip the resume pile. Forcepull's founder, a developer with 20 years at companies like Priceline and Getaroom, personally sources and screens developers for your role, then introduces up to three he would interview himself. Every search is his, start to finish. No recruiters, no handoffs.
How it works
We agree the role, the salary, and written terms before any work starts. If we think the role is too niche or the pay too far below market to source honestly, we say so before taking your money.
We search GitHub, open-source projects, the board's own audience and the wider remote world for people doing the work you need done, not just people whose CV contains the right words.
Every candidate is screened by the founder, in a real conversation, not a keyword scan. We read the code, talk to the human, and only pass on people we would put through our own interview.
You get up to three introductions: screened, interested, and ready to talk. The messy pipeline stays our problem. You just take the calls.
Forcepull Search
Flat fee, agreed up front. An introductory price while the service is new.
Search questions
Up to three introductions to developers we believe are a strong match for your role and who have told us they are interested. Introductions, not hires: the interviews and the offer are yours to run. The $99 listing is included, so your role is live on the board while we source.
The founder reads their public work, then talks to them: a real conversation, on video or in writing, whichever gets the best out of the candidate. Give us your screening questions and we will put them to each candidate, alongside our own, and you get the answers with every introduction.
No. We confirm who the candidate is and screen for skills and experience, nothing else. Credit checks, criminal record checks, right-to-work checks and references are not part of the service; those stay with you, exactly as they would in a direct hire.
We scope the role together, by email or a short call, and if we do not think we can source it honestly we say so there. Then we agree written terms, send a Stripe payment link, write up and publish your listing, and start the search.
Contingency recruiters take 15 to 25% of first-year salary, which is five figures on most of the roles we list. $499 is a deliberately low introductory price while the service is new. It will go up.
Yes, same rule as the rest of Forcepull. We cannot honestly pitch your role to a busy developer without a number, so a real salary range is a condition of every search.
You do, once we have agreed terms and scope in writing. Candidates never pay anything, at any point.
A listing waits for the right person to find you. Search goes and finds them, and the listing comes included: it catches the active lookers while we chase the ones who were not looking at all.
