Senior Mobile Engineer, Instrumentation SDK (iOS)

Grafana Labs is building first-class mobile instrumentation SDKs, so that traces, metrics, logs, crashes and user sessions from a mobile app can be connected to backend and infrastructure telemetry in Grafana Cloud.

This is the iOS half of that work, in Swift and Objective-C: session tracking, crash reporting, sampling strategies, automatic context propagation and OpenTelemetry integration. The constraint that makes it interesting is that an instrumentation SDK ships inside somebody else's application, so performance, stability and low overhead are the product rather than a later concern.

Grafana Labs is fully remote with team members in more than 40 countries. This is the UK posting of the role, which is also open in Spain, Ireland, Germany and Sweden with a separate published band for each.
