About the role
TRM Labs builds the blockchain intelligence that agencies and businesses use to trace illicit on-chain activity and map threat networks. This role owns one category of it: hacks.
The posting states the problem as a clock. When a protocol is drained or an exchange is compromised, customers need to know within minutes or hours which addresses to block and where the funds are going, and this job owns TRM's answer end to end. That means taking command when a major hack breaks, running triage, coordination across teams, customer and internal communications and the incident report afterwards, and making sure every significant hack gets into the product fast. It comes with the metrics, the system that hits them, and a small contractor team keeping it covered around the clock.
TRM sets outcomes and leaves the approach to the hire, in its own words. It records no onsite requirement for this role and describes it as remote and distributed. The band is TRM's United States tier, and it notes that other countries are subject to different ranges; the posting also lists Singapore, the United Kingdom, EMEA and South Korea. Remote, US.
