About the role
Storyblok is a headless CMS used by Virgin Media O2, Oatly and TomTom, and this is its developer relations hire in the US.
The role is the one that actually writes code, which is worth saying because a lot of devrel postings do not. The functions listed include writing sample applications, prototypes and code samples, contributing fixes and updates to Storyblok's public open-source SDKs and starter kits, and helping external developers get round missing functionality with plugins, tools and custom scripts. Alongside that sits the visible half: workshops, tutorials, documentation, webinars, instructional videos, product demos, conference talks and running the booth. There is a feedback loop built into the brief too, identifying gaps in Storyblok's APIs and SDKs and proposing features based on what the community and enterprise customers keep running into.
Asks are 5+ years in web development, thorough knowledge of consuming REST APIs with GraphQL a plus, and real depth in at least one modern JavaScript framework, with Vue, React, Next, Nuxt, Astro and Svelte all named. Public speaking experience is required, and meetup or event organising is listed too. CMS experience is wanted, headless CMS specifically only a plus. Storyblok is fully remote with a monthly remote-work stipend, a home office package at the start, 25 days of annual leave plus local holidays, and an annual international team trip. Remote, US.
