Support Engineer

Freshpaint sits between a healthcare company's website or app and the analytics and advertising tools it wants to use, detecting and controlling protected health information before it reaches them. It is backed by Y Combinator and Intel Capital.

The support role here reads closer to engineering than most do. Investigation happens in the codebase, using Go, TypeScript and SQL to trace application behaviour and read the architecture until the root cause turns up, and ownership runs from first report to final resolution rather than to handoff. The rest is the cross-functional half: working with Engineering, Customer Success and Account teams, supporting customers through onboarding and ongoing use, writing the internal runbooks and customer-facing docs, and carrying what you learn back to Product.

Asks are 2+ years in technical support, solutions engineering or software engineering, 2+ years customer-facing, the ability to read and write code with Go and TypeScript preferred, troubleshooting across frontend and backend, and familiarity with SQL. Debugging production environments and prior documentation work are listed as nice to have. The band is the lowest in this batch and worth sizing honestly: it sits above the board's support floor, below its senior support roles, and the role is pitched at someone two years in.
