Staff Application Security Engineer

Temporal builds an open source durable execution platform and runs it as a managed cloud across several providers. This Staff Application Security Engineer secures the development pipeline, the product and the customer execution environment.

You would lead threat modelling and risk assessments across the product, own the secure development pipeline including code security and third-party supply chain, handle disclosed vulnerabilities in both Cloud and open source products, and build production AI-assisted security workflows with guardrails. Keeping internal policy current with guidance like the OWASP Top 10 for LLMs and MCP security specifications is part of it. The role joins an on-call rotation.
