About the role
Temporal's AI Foundations team works on how developers build AI applications on Temporal. This Staff Software Engineer focuses on agentic development, maintaining agent skills that improve how Codex, Claude Code and similar tools write Temporal applications.
You would design and build agentic coding systems that can be trusted to produce high-quality output, develop deep knowledge of AI application patterns, own new features end to end, and serve as a domain expert for field staff and the developer community. The work spans Python, TypeScript, Java and Go, and most of Temporal is open source.
Pay is $169,600 to $278,250. Remote, US or Canada.
