Staff Software Engineer

Tenable, the Exposure Management company relied on by over 40,000 organizations to understand and reduce cyber risk, is hiring a Staff Software Engineer for its core product engineering team. The team designs, develops, and maintains cloud-based, state-of-the-art search solutions over customers' ever-evolving landscape of infrastructure, building a highly scalable, highly reliable cloud-native user interface and the microservices underneath it, all on modern technologies and programming languages.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software features for cloud-based applications and distributed systems.
• Contribute to system design and architecture, evaluating technical solutions, defining technical specifications, and ensuring scalability, reliability, and security of global cloud infrastructure.
• Participate in the ongoing development and optimization of distributed systems supporting cybersecurity technologies for enterprise customers.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends, and apply relevant advancements to improve system performance and product capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product Management, UX Design, and other stakeholders, to define requirements, iterate on product features, and ensure timely delivery of software releases.
• Troubleshoot and debug production issues and implement required performance optimizations.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science or another directly related field of study.
• 8 years of work experience in the job offered or other closely related positions; experiences may be concurrent.
• Comfort operating across the stack of a cloud-native product, from underlying microservices to the user interface they power.
