MZLA, the company behind Thunderbird, is hiring a Staff Product Engineer for Thunderbolt, its open-source AI product.
The premise is the one Thunderbird has always argued: people and organisations should be able to use AI without handing over their data, their infrastructure or their choice of model. That makes the enterprise work concrete rather than abstract, since flexible deployment and self-hosting are the product rather than a checkbox on it.
The role owns features from concept through launch and adoption, across front-end, back-end, APIs and integrations. MZLA is 60+ people across seven countries, nonprofit-owned, funded by donations and paid services.
