Chromatic is hiring a Senior DevOps Engineer to secure and scale the rendering grid behind its visual testing product.
The infrastructure is the interesting part: an elastic browser grid on AWS taking millions of snapshots a day, built with Terraform, where consistency matters as much as throughput because a flaky pixel is a false test failure. The role owns the security posture too, from access control and secrets to vulnerability triage and audit logging, and embeds with product teams so that CI/CD ships secure rather than gets secured later. There is an on-call rotation and the posting says so.
Chromatic makes Storybook, and BBC, Shopify and Adobe are among the front-end teams using it. Fully remote for people based in the mainland US or Canada.
