About the role
Runpod is a GPU cloud used by more than a million developers, from individual researchers to teams running frontier models in production, and it has served over 20 billion inference requests. It closed a $100M Series A in June 2026.
This role works at the bottom of that stack, and the posting is specific about where. The job is multi-tenant isolation across bare-metal and virtualized environments: preventing tenant breakouts, securing GPU hardware allocations, and building the infrastructure that keeps one customer's AI workload away from another's. It asks for deep knowledge of Linux systems and kernel internals, hypervisors and containerization, which is a narrower requirement than most cloud security postings and a more interesting one, because on a GPU cloud the isolation boundary is the product.
Runpod describes itself as a small remote-first team. Remote, US.
