About the role
Hundreds of terabytes of unique data and over twenty million queries a second across the fleet. That number is the job description. MySQL at this scale stops resembling MySQL anywhere else.
The team builds self-service tooling so other engineers can operate safely without becoming database experts, which is the only workable model at this size. Open source contribution is named as part of the role, so some of the work would be public.
US remote, Go and MySQL. Highly distributed team with an explicit async communication expectation.
