Site Engineer

As a growth-focused Site Engineer at Vercel, you will play a central role in driving user acquisition, conversion, and retention through highly performant and visually stunning web experiences. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, from marketing to sales to product design, to build dynamic pages, run A/B tests, and optimize conversion funnels, delivering an exceptional experience from first touch through ongoing engagement.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex frontend projects that establish Vercel as a gold standard for brand and product marketing.
• Collaborate with growth and marketing teams to A/B test landing pages for lead generation across multiple channels.
• Design and implement scalable applications, web services, and APIs with a focus on user experience and performance.
• Contribute to the design system and uphold industry-leading UX standards across interactions, micro-animations, and layout consistency.
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize for conversion, speed, and reliability across the funnel.
• Continuously improve engineering processes, tools, and systems to scale the codebase and team productivity.
• Write technical documents, maintain internal tools, and review contributions from other engineers.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional frontend engineering experience (React, JavaScript, Tailwind CSS, or similar).
• Strong proficiency in Next.js and familiarity with modern frontend frameworks.
• Full stack experience: comfortable designing or consuming APIs and working with various services.
• Deep understanding of SEO principles and best practices, especially around performance, accessibility, and search optimization.
• Proven knowledge of A/B testing concepts and conversion rate optimization.
• Stellar cross-functional communication skills and an eye for good user experiences, with a knack for getting the visuals right.
• Bonus: familiarity with the Vercel platform, comfort with Tailwind CSS, or a background in web design and design systems.
