About the role
Foodsmart is a US nutrition-care platform that combines registered dietitian care, meal planning and food benefits for more than three million members through employers, Medicaid and Medicare plans and insurers. It is a remote-first company.
This senior QA engineer leads day-to-day testing and coordinates the QA team across Foodsmart's web, mobile, backend and data products. The work includes planning and running test plans for releases, building automated suites with Cypress, Playwright or similar, testing APIs and backend services, validating data pipelines and data lake transformations, checking AI/ML output consistency, wiring tests into CI/CD, reporting coverage and defect metrics, and mentoring junior testers, all within HIPAA requirements.
Foodsmart wants 8+ years in software QA including several in a lead or senior role, programming in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python, hands-on UI and API automation, mobile test automation, SQL for backend validation, and data quality testing on AWS. Node.js, Airflow, Snowflake or Redshift, and health tech experience are pluses.
Base pay is $140,000 to $150,000 a year, plus bonus and unlimited PTO. Remote in the United States.
