About the role
Foodsmart is a US nutrition-care platform that combines registered dietitian care, meal planning and food benefits for more than three million members through employers, Medicaid and Medicare plans and insurers. It is a remote-first company.
This DevOps engineer looks after Foodsmart's AWS infrastructure and delivery tooling. The job covers managing and scaling Linux-based cloud infrastructure, infrastructure as code with CloudFormation through AWS CDK in TypeScript, CI/CD pipelines in AWS CodePipeline and GitHub Actions, observability with Datadog or New Relic, SRE practices for availability and incident response, and automating and securing file transfer workflows with partners. You would also write backend code and help development teams with environments, builds and deployments.
Foodsmart wants 6+ years in DevOps or SRE on AWS, 3+ years of backend development in TypeScript, Java, Python or Node.js with PostgreSQL or MySQL, infrastructure as code experience (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible or similar), and strong debugging skills across the stack.
Base pay is $180,000 to $190,000 a year, plus bonus and unlimited PTO. Remote in the United States.
