Monolith work has a bad reputation and it is undeserved at this scale. The problems are genuinely hard, the leverage is enormous because every product team feels the improvements, and GitHub's core Rails application is one of the largest and longest-lived Rails codebases in existence.
This team exists to keep it healthy, resilient and scalable for everyone building in it. US remote, Ruby and Rails with MySQL, Elasticsearch, Kafka and GraphQL. On-call included.
