DuckDuckGo is hiring a Staff Data Scientist onto its Data Science team, driving product and business impact across the browser, the search engine and its subscription products.
The company's whole proposition is that it does not collect what everyone else collects, which makes this an unusual data role: the questions are the normal ones and the raw material is deliberately not there. DuckDuckGo runs on end-to-end ownership, with each person taking a project from scoping through execution to postmortem.
DuckDuckGo is remote-first, more than 300 people, founded in 2008 and profitable since 2014, with annual revenue over $100m. The salary is one published number rather than a range.
