About the role
Discord is hiring a Staff Software Engineer to lead the next version of its experimentation platform.
This is the system every other team at Discord uses to decide whether a change worked: core services, data pipelines, configuration tooling, statistical analysis and the interface on top of it. The posting is explicit that the next generation includes AI-assisted experimentation workflows, which is the interesting part of the brief, since deciding what an experiment means is a harder problem than running one.
The role leads and mentors engineers, and a lot of the work is talking to the people who will use the platform, some of whom are not engineers. Remote within the United States.
