About the role
Nango (YC W23) is how developers build product integrations, and increasingly how agents get at the APIs their users already depend on. More than 700 paying customers use it, including ServiceNow, Monday, Replit and Ramp, built by a team of 14 out of AWS, GitHub, Okta, Snyk, Netlify, Uber, Samsara and Workato.
This is a founding forward-deployed role, and the posting is honest that the customer half is not a garnish on an engineering job. Expect frequent customer calls, Slack conversations and pairing sessions alongside the coding, running technical evaluations through to production, leading deep dives, and building integrations while resolving the awkward platform issues underneath them. The engineering is full-stack and ships product improvements from design through deployment, and what you learn on those calls is meant to shape the roadmap rather than just close tickets.
Asks are 5+ years of full-stack engineering, comfort debugging APIs, integrations and production systems, and exceptional written and spoken English, which for this role is a technical requirement rather than a pleasantry. Developer tools or prior customer-facing engineering experience is called a plus. The band is wide at 1.67x, which is what a founding title on a 14-person team usually means in practice. Remote, from North America or Europe.
