Senior Software Engineer, AI

Turquoise Health builds price transparency software for finance teams across US healthcare, used by more than 300 enterprise organisations. It is a Series C, remote-first company working on US hours.

On the AI team you would build and run AI-powered features that sit inside the product's core workflows. That means working with healthcare subject experts to design evaluations for AI features, taking AI workflows to production with proper observability, fallbacks and an eye on cost, and building internal services that give other engineers stable, reusable interfaces. You would also help product decide when AI is the right tool and when something simpler will do.

They want 5+ years of production Python, a track record of shipping a complex system with real customer impact, familiarity with modern AI and ML tooling, and the habits to work well on a fully remote team. Other backend languages are a plus. Candidates must already be authorised to work in the US, as there is no visa sponsorship.

Pay is $175,000 to $195,000 plus equity, with unlimited PTO, a 401(k) match and twice-yearly company meetups. Remote in the US.
