Design is central to Automattic's mission. Design experiences for millions of people across WordPress, WooCommerce, Tumblr, and related products, working with a distributed, global team of engineers, marketers, and support specialists.

Responsibilities

Design complete products from conception through optimization, participating in all phases
Create prototypes at various fidelity levels informed by user research and business goals
Communicate progress through written, verbal, and visual formats
Collaborate with engineers to ship quality experiences

Requirements

Experience integrating AI tools, automation, and code-assisted workflows into design
Strong user research and solution definition skills
Proficiency in Figma and product development cycles
Strong UI/visual design skills with a portfolio demonstrating craft
