The stated tension is the good one: make identity and access management usable for developers and small teams without weakening the security. DigitalOcean's customers are not enterprises with a dedicated IAM administrator, so complexity that other clouds get away with does not work here.
Service accounts, workload identity, OIDC federation, scoped API access, machine and agent identity, auditability and the console experience over all of it. US remote, reporting to the Head of Security Products.
