Data Engineer
About the role
InductiveHealth makes disease surveillance and data interoperability software for US public health agencies and the CDC. It has about 80 people across the United States and works virtual first.
This data engineer helps modernise how public health data moves through the company's interoperability platform. The work covers designing and running secure real-time and batch pipelines with NiFi, Kafka, Python and SQL, building CI/CD for NiFi flows and code with GitHub Actions and NiFi Registry, deploying pipelines on Azure and AWS, setting up Grafana monitoring and runbooks, and migrating legacy pipelines to the new architecture.
InductiveHealth wants 3+ years building enterprise data pipelines (or 7+ years of related engineering work), hands-on NiFi, Kafka, Python and SQL, experience running pipelines in Azure or AWS with sensitive data, CI/CD for data pipelines, and OpenSearch or Elasticsearch. HL7, FHIR, integration engines, Docker, Kubernetes and Terraform experience are pluses.
Pay is $130,000 to $145,000 a year. Remote in the United States.
