Principal DevOps Software Engineer

RapidAI builds clinical AI for hospitals. Its imaging and workflow platform is used in more than 2,500 hospitals in over 100 countries to speed up diagnosis and treatment decisions.

This principal DevOps engineer works on medical device software, designing and running the cloud infrastructure and delivery platforms behind it. The job covers operating Kubernetes-based platforms for microservice workloads, writing reusable and peer-reviewed infrastructure as code, building CI/CD pipelines in a regulated environment, and architecting AWS environments including networking, security controls and cost. You would be the infrastructure and deployment point of contact for engineering, QA, IT and security, and you are expected to use AI coding tools such as Claude Code or Copilot in daily work.

RapidAI wants 8+ years in engineering with technical leadership, strong Kubernetes experience (EKS, Helm, Argo CD or Flux, Prometheus and Grafana), solid AWS and AWS security tooling, Terraform or CloudFormation, GitHub Actions or Jenkins, networking fundamentals and a scripting language such as Python, Bash or Go. AWS GovCloud and compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP or HIPAA are a plus.

Because of a US Department of Veterans Affairs contract, applicants must be US citizens or green card holders and pass a VA background investigation. Pay is $175,000 to $240,000 a year, plus bonus and equity. Remote in the United States.
