Intermediate Cloud Security Engineer (Remote US)
About the role
Smile Digital Health builds a FHIR-based health data platform used in more than 20 countries. This intermediate cloud security engineer designs, automates and deploys production-grade services for customers across AWS, Azure, OCI and GCP.
You would work with Cloud Architect and Development teams on highly available internal and customer infrastructure, provide Level 3 support, lead customers through cloud deployment patterns, design secure scalable platforms, and keep internal tools healthy. Networking fundamentals and security and compliance practice (SOC 2, HIPAA, ISO 27001) matter as much as Kubernetes, Docker and infrastructure as code with Ansible, Terraform or CloudFormation.
Smile wants 5+ years in IT with infrastructure and platform automation, 4+ years with containers and with at least one major cloud, and experience turning architecture documents into working environments.
Pay is $115,000 to $130,000 a year. Remote in the United States.
