Principal Software Engineer - Vector Search - Elasticsearch

Vector similarity search inside Elasticsearch, with upstream contributions to Lucene. This is the layer that decides whether retrieval is fast and relevant, which is now load-bearing for a large share of AI applications.

The role is described as leading initiatives to produce an industry-leading vector database offering, and the work includes new features, existing functionality and what the posting cheerfully calls deep, intriguing bugs.
