The US principal posting on Elastic's distributed systems team. Cluster coordination, concurrent and consistent indexing, shard allocation, and the safety and liveness properties underneath serverless Elasticsearch.
Operational investigations are owned end to end here. Both people who have read the papers and people who have run the systems are welcome, but only one gets through the interview. US remote, Java. Same team as the Canadian principal posting, priced to the US market.
